Lead product designer owning the end-to-end design of a multi-device polling system.
The Problem
Admins needed an easy way to create polls that worked seamlessly across apps and in-office displays.
Impact
Delivered a reusable polling system that reduced admin friction and increased participation through QR-based voting.
Multi-device polls.
Objective: Create an end-to-end multi-device poll experience from a user and administrative (internal tooling) point of view for Appspace.

After receiving the project from Product Management, I began my process by researching articles on Poll UX/UI to get a greater sense of the space. Afterward, I created a visual competitive analysis to provide insight into the trends, flows, features, and design solutions of other companies. This exercise allows me to decide what will or will not work with the task at hand.
Next, I created a very high-level user flow of what the experience would like from the administrator's and user's points of view. Each deliverable (poll and poll results) that the user interacts with will first have to be configured by an administrator.
Next, I sketched out low-fidelity wireframes. After listing out the features I wanted to offer, I began to work on the editors, or administrative views. After designing the editors, I sketched out the different states and user flows that could be triggered by each editor.

Interactive polls.
The poll is created, designed, and managed on an administrative level, and then the polls are posted in the Employee App. After a user interacts with the poll, they can see real-time results in the app as well as on digital signage/TV in their office.
Poll results.
After a user interacts with the poll, the poll results will automatically be displayed on digital signage and/or TV within a user’s office. The poll result layout/features are configured by an administrator. If the QR code voting feature is enabled, individuals walking by can scan the QR code and will be routed to vote within the app.
